A Surfers Paradise property has sold to a Texan investor after it caught his eye on a global web site.

The two bedroom, two bathroom apartment on the 32nd floor of The Peninsula sold for $350,000. Marketing agent Melanie Reid said the purchaser, Kym Jaensch, has a property investment portfolio spread across the world. “The apartment was listed with RE/MAX Beach City, which meant it automatically featured on the RE/MAX global web site.
“Kym spotted it and was familiar with the apartment building and its location so he called me, and a contract was signed in under four weeks.
Ms Reid said the new owner plans a short holiday in December to enjoy the apartment’s stunning ocean and hinterland views, and then hand it to RE/MAX Beach City to manage as an investment property.
Ms Reid, who specialises in the high rise market, reports a definite increase in market activity and expects to see that spike with record low interest rates and new government boosting investor and general business confidence.
“I think people are identifying the fact that prices are in upward phase of the cycle, therefore delaying their buying decisions could end up costing them more
