Following a dynamic international career, Rachel Etherington moved into selling high-end property across the LA landscape under the prestigious Hilton & Hyland brand.
Within her first year, Ms Etherington transacted USD$20 million in residential sales. With a background in advertising in the UK, heading up communications for top international brands including BMW, co-managing a Sydney-based agency and later launching three successful environmental start-ups, Ms Etherington brings a plethora of business acumen to her real estate service.
Relocating to Sydney from LA, Ms Etherington chose The Agency as she identified key synergies between the brand’s approach and her operational style and values.

Though Ms Etherington has lived an international life, she spent eight years in Sydney, has many close friends and colleagues based in Australia and holds a local real estate licence. It is Sydney’s natural beauty and the current “dynamic and optimistic professional climate” that has drawn Ms Etherington back to Australia.

Ms Etherington will be specialising in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, but her approach is client-focused rather than geographical. A point of difference in her business to date has been working with private equity and venture capital investors to structure innovative property deals with great short-term cash returns, as well as long-term appreciation.

Her passions go well beyond her real estate business and there are many causes she has championed over the years, including moving one of the last remaining white rhinos from the Czech Republic to Kenya in an attempt to save the species. She also mentors young women personally and professionally, a service she will continue here in Australia.
