Ray White books 9,843 appraisals in group-wide drive

Ray White members booked 9,843 appraisals and made 119,135 calls during the group’s latest Real Estate of Origin event, the 22nd running of the group-wide competition.

The event, held three times a year, pits sales agents, sales associates, property managers and business development managers against each other across the states and New Zealand. This round drew 3,597 registered participants from 390 offices, including more than 312 property managers and BDMs.

Ray White chief strategy officer (real estate) Mark McLeod said the event was one of the group’s most important yet.

“At the heart of it is something very simple, connecting with our communities, having more conversations and making sure our customers understand what’s happening in their local market,” Mark said.

“Powered by NurtureCloud, our agents can use their Smart Call Lists to identify the customers most likely to be considering their next move, helping them have the right conversation at the right time,” he said.

“More conversations create more appraisals, more appraisals create more opportunities, and ultimately that’s how we help our agents build stronger businesses while staying closer to their customers.”

Queensland topped the state leaderboard with 2,932 appraisals across sales agents, sales associates, BDMs and property managers, ahead of New Zealand on 2,535 and Victoria | Tasmania on 2,295.

Ray White Manukau in New Zealand claimed Top Appraising Office with 631 appraisals and Top Calling Office with 3,989 calls, while its wider cluster – Manukau, Manurewa, Mangere Bridge, Mangere, Auckland Central and Wynyard Quarter – took out both Top Appraising Group and Top Calling Group with 754 appraisals.

Ben Palavi of Ray White Manukau was the top calling salesperson, and Sophie McKinnon of Ray White Sunnybank topped the leaderboard for sales agents, powered by Concierge.

In Melbourne, Ray White Judd White Group | Glen Waverley | Forest Hill managing director Dexter Prack ran the day around a Halloween theme.

“Our team loved coming together, sharing lunch and enjoying some fantastic team bonding,” Dexter said.

“Most importantly, we left fired up with energy and renewed enthusiasm to drive appraisals – the most important ingredient in building future business right now,” he said.

“We have committed to adding this to our annual calendar of events and may even come up with our own concept.”

In Queensland, Ray White Beenleigh principal Glenn Hamilton said the event’s value lay in the team culture it builds as much as the appraisals it generates.

“We always take part in REOO because we love the interaction within the team and it also achieves a great purpose of creating appraisals,” Glenn said.

“It’s a day that the team look forward to and we have the benefit of both property management and sales embracing the whole event,” he said.

“Particularly with the market how it is, we’ve got to have some fun and forget for a while how hard everyone is working at the moment.”

In Western Australia, Ray White Whiteman & Associates director David Whiteman described the event as “really fruitful”, and has since built on the format with a “Spring Surge” initiative, running weekly three-hour REOO-style sessions across his business from September to November.
