A Home for All Foundation raises $1 million for homelessness

More than 400 people across 57 teams have raised over $1 million for A Home for All Foundation through this year’s A Night Without Home campaign.

The annual fundraiser supports people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity as a result of domestic and family violence. A Home for All Foundation is led by the property industry and backed by REA Group, and was established in 2025 to raise awareness and fund long-term solutions for homelessness, partnering with organisations already delivering support in communities across Australia.

Throughout October, participants took part by making a donation, fundraising, couch surfing, sleeping in a car, staying overnight in a participating office, or going without the comforts of home for one night. Metricon Homes, Frasers Property, Laing+Simmons, REA Group and News Corp Australia held office overnighters for employees, while Jellis Craig made the Foundation one of its charity partners during its Foundation Month.

Metricon Homes topped the fundraising leaderboard, raising almost $60,000. Other teams in the top 20 included LJ Hooker Foundation ($47,920), Frasers Property ($37,088), Jellis Craig ($27,000), Laing+Simmons ($17,132), Ray White NSW ($11,648), Real Estate Institute of Victoria ($10,250), Real Estate Institute of the Northern Territory ($9,000), Real Estate Institute of Australia ($8,945), OC Real Estate ($6,526) and Ray White Upper Blue Mountains ($6,130).

Christine Mikhael, A Home for All Foundation Advisory Committee Chair and LJ Hooker CEO, said the fundraising total was only part of the story.

“$1 million is a remarkable result, but the impact behind that number is what matters. This Foundation is about helping people experiencing homelessness find safety, support and a place to begin again,” Christine said.

“In its second year, A Night Without Home has shown the strength of the property industry when we rally around a shared purpose. I’m proud of everyone who turned one night of reflection into practical support for people experiencing homelessness.”

Katrina Konstas, REA Group’s Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer, took part in the campaign for the first time this year.

“This was my first year taking part in A Night Without Home, and the care and commitment from REA Group employees was wonderful, collectively raising more than $200,000 throughout October, and more than 100 of us participating in the office overnighter,” Katrina said.

Money raised through last year’s campaign is already reaching frontline organisations via the Foundation’s 2026 charity partners. In the past six months, Friends with Dignity has directly supported 496 people through its Sanctuary program, completing 52 Sanctuary homes – 31 in Queensland, 18 in New South Wales, two in Western Australia and one in Victoria – and fulfilling 109 urgent requests.

Women’s Community Shelters’ Aurora Place in Ashfield has provided 3,576 safe bed nights, supporting 143 adults and 37 children, and has established a family-focused transitional housing program connecting residents with case management and other support.

Justice Connect has supported 30 women and children to stay safely housed through integrated legal and social work support. Its Women’s Homelessness Prevention Program has helped more than 4,000 renters experiencing family violence understand their legal rights and take action to stay in, leave or find housing.
