Volkan Akintetik and Reece Caira, described as two of the top-selling real estate agents on the NSW Central Coast, have become business owners, opening a new LJ Hooker office in Berkeley Vale.
The pair specialise in residential sales, investment properties and luxury waterfront real estate, and, according to Reece, have consistently ranked among the top performers in the region.
Reece said the move marked a natural next step after building their reputation as salespeople.
“We have achieved everything we could as salespeople at our previous company, consistently ranking as number one in our area and always ranked in the top five on the Central Coast – so it is time to take on the role of business owners,” Reece said.
“To align ourselves with a nationally known brand like LJ Hooker is an exciting step forward for us.
“We looked at many brands, but the point of difference for us is that LJ Hooker is still growing its network and investing in technology, which gave us a lot of confidence moving forward.”
Jarita Rayasam, LJ Hooker’s Head of Growth, said the new office filled a gap in the brand’s Central Coast footprint.
“The Central Coast is a corridor market, and Berkeley Vale was the missing piece of the puzzle for us, and now to have a new office opening there is very exciting,” Jarita said.

The new business, launched last week, is a family affair. Reece’s wife, Jess, brings specialist marketing expertise to the venture, while Volkan’s son, Ethan, who has been part of their team for four years, continues as a sales agent. Ethan’s partner, Terry-Anne, will manage accounts.
Reece grew up on the Central Coast, while Volkan has lived in the region for more than two decades.
“Berkeley Vale is such a diverse real estate market with waterfronts, acreages, developments, units and traditional residential homes,” Volkan said.
“The reaction from our clients has been fantastic, and we think that is because LJ Hooker is already so well known in the market as a trusted company.”
