Snowy Mountains agents rebrand to start boutique agency

After a combined 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, husband and wife duo Peter and Joan Bird have decided to leave the traditional large-scale franchise model and launch their own brand with the help of Identity Marketing.

While the Birds were happy working under a franchise banner, they knew they wanted to build a business from the ground up that could offer more personalised service to those living in the Snowy Mountains.

From there Alpine Country Properties was born – a boutique agency aimed solely at putting service first.

The Birds say a large factor in the change was to place honesty at the heart of their service, with Mrs Bird working as a board member on the Property Services Expert Panel for the New South Wales Government.

“We wanted to create a brand based on asking ourselves how we can offer an experience that gets results for our clients,” Mrs Bird said.

“It does not matter whether it is buying, selling or investing – we want to make sure we create a business built on honesty.”

To help with the rebrand, the Birds got in contact with Identity Marketing to flesh out the finer details of the new brand.

“The experience with Identity Marketing has been first class with clear communication and an exceptional eye for detail from all involved with our rebrand,” Mrs Bird said.

Working collaboratively, Identity Marketing helped the Birds craft a visual identity for the business, as well as digital and physical marketing collateral that ranges from signboards, to social media, to a website – and everything in between.

“They grasped from the first meeting what we were attempting to achieve in the rebrand,” Mrs Bird said.

“They took our ideas and thoughts and brought them to the table clearly and concisely. They were always willing to listen to our input for any changes.”

The Bird’s say the name behind the brand has several meanings, but is mainly evocative of the alpine heritage in the Snowy Mountains as well as symbolising the recent surge in population growth the area has had.

The branding itself is a fresh take on what a real estate agency can look like, with Mrs Bird saying although the brand is new, the feedback has cemented that rebranding was the right decision.

“So far we have had a hugely positive reaction to the rebrand, which has been great to see,” she said.

“We have received compliments on the colours, logo and just the overall feel – people saying it looks like it aligns with our values.

“Even small elements like our icons have been a great way to connect our service to our area.”

The Bird’s will expand to offer a wide range of services to better help the community, including sales, property management, leasing and prestige holiday management.

“Alpine Country Properties means we will not compromise on our ethics for a sale or listing,” Mrs Bird said.

While the business has had a fresh coat of paint, Mrs Bird assured clients that not only are they providing the same quality service, thanks to Identity Marketing they can do it on their own terms.

“Our name might be a little different, but our clients know our phone number, location and commitment are still the same.”
