The RE/MAX real estate network launches an Australia-wide competition today (16 June) seeking a winning video that showcases a home; and, in store for its creator is a holiday worth $25,000.
“I’ve had many years in real estate,” said RE/MAX Australia Managing Director Michael Davoren, “but I don’t believe I’ve seen a competition as creative, exciting and quirky as this.”
“And with RE/MAX having a global presence in close to 100 countries, we’ve taken the unique approach in offering the holiday selection to 98 of these.”
Dubbed ‘Make an ad to sell your pad’, the competition invites people of all ages to pick up their mobile phone or video camera and make a mini home movie that shows what they love about where they live.
“This is about having fun so we invite people to be as imaginative as they wish, to stage their scenes using people, props and pets to entertain viewers, and make the best short video that shows the world why there is no place like their home.
“We won’t be looking for the grandest home or the most skilled videographer either.
“RE/MAX understands how much Australians love their homes from the most humble cottage to the massive mansion, and in locations from the bush to the beach or the heart of a city,” said Davoren. “We expect our agents to sell every property as if it is their own, which involves understanding as much as they can about every home they list, and the concept of ‘Make an ad to sell your pad’ springs from this.”
Entering the RE/MAX competition does not require listing a property to sell.
A dedicated competition website, www.adformypad.com.au, makes entering very simple plus provides helpful tips on creating the video, all competition details including the full list of holiday destinations, and both example and entry videos.
A judging panel comprising Michael Davoren, Aimee Doherty, RE/MAX Australia Marketing and Communications Coordinator; Kerry Farrell, Senior Editor, Cutting Edge Post; and Tony Blamey, Chief Operating Officer, domain.com.au, will choose the grand prize winner from all entries received over the ten weeks of the competition.
In addition, each week there is a People’s Choice prize of a $1000 travel voucher, as voted by family, friends and followers on the competition web site.
