REINSW Residential Tenancies Act Tour to educate agents

Changes to the Residential Tenancies Act including property alterations, rental increases and new minimum standards for property will be the focus of a month-long roadshow designed to educate real estate professionals, according to the Real Estate Institute of New South Wales.

REINSW President Leanne Pilkington said it was critical for agents to be across the new Residential Tenancies Amendment (Review) Bill 2018 which was passed last week (17 October).

“To successfully service their clients it is important for real estate professionals to understand the comprehensive changes that will come into force in the future,” Ms Pilkington said.

“These major reforms affect everybody in the real estate industry, including landlords, tenants and real estate professionals. Many areas of the reforms are complex and it is essential to understand these before they are implemented.”

Intensive Training Sessions in 17 locations will be held across the state, beginning in Sydney on Thursday 25 October and running to 29 November 2018. Register here.
