buyersagents.com.au launches the 2026 Australian Buyers Agent Index survey

buyersagents.com.au has announced the launch of the 2026 Australian Buyers Agent Index, a comprehensive industry survey designed to benchmark the state of the buyers agent profession across Australia.

The survey is now live and open to all licensed buyers agents nationwide.

buyersagents.com.au describes the 2026 Australian Buyers Agent Index as the first survey of its kind to capture the real experience of buyers agents operating in Australia’s competitive property market.

Covering deal volumes, fee structures, client acquisition, technology adoption, and business challenges, the Index aims to produce what buyersagents.com.au calls a definitive data set reflecting the profession as it actually is today.

With buyers agent adoption growing at 40 per cent year-over-year and 40 per cent of first-time buyers now considering professional representation, the profession is at an inflection point.

buyersagents.com.au says the Index is designed to give buyers agents, property buyers, and industry stakeholders verified, data-backed intelligence to help make informed decisions.

The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and is open to all licensed buyers agents in Australia.

Results will be published in the 2026 Australian Buyers Agent Index Report, distributed to all participants and the broader industry once the survey closes on the 31st of August 2026.

Buyers agents can access the survey at buyersagents.com.au/australian-buyers-agent-index-survey.

“The buyers agent profession has grown enormously, but there has never been a rigorous, independent benchmark of how agents actually operate, where they are headed, and what challenges they face,” said Leon Hayes, CEO of buyersagents.com.au.

“The 2026 Australian Buyers Agent Index changes that. We built this platform on trust and verification, and this survey is an extension of that commitment to the profession.”
