Realmark Karratha changes hands

Realmark Karratha has welcomed new owners this week, with Jordan James and Ellene Watkins taking over as the new business partners of the franchise from August 12.

Jordan and Ellene will lead the Karratha team with their 18 years combined experience in the real estate sector, specialising in sales, property management and trust accounts.

The move of ownership comes after current owner and licensee Alex Waters decided to take a step back from the day-to-day management to spend time with his young family who are based in Perth.

Speaking of the decision, Alex noted the decision was a personal one.

“I have a young family who is based in Perth and I felt strongly that the business needs a hands-on approach in Karratha. It wasnโ€™t fair on the team, clients or my family to be split between two geographical locations.

“Jordan and Ellene are placed in Karratha with a strong commitment to the community. They deliver great management and experience to the Karratha team and I know our clients and team alike will be in good hands.โ€

Jordan and Ellene join the Realmark brand with a wealth of real estate knowledge and understanding, and Jordan explained he was excited to embrace the new move.

โ€œThe Realmark brand is one I have been aware of for a long time so when the opportunity arose to join in this capacity in Karratha I jumped at it.

“I believe the Karratha market has much more to offer than the boom and bust that is communicated to the world. We feel so at home here and are loving the hands-on transition with the team.โ€

Jordanโ€™s passion for the market comes from having specialised in property management, residential sales and non-traditional sale methods, and he is a forward-thinking person who resonates with the Realmark brand and their innovative thinking.

Jordan and Ellene have been working cohesively with the Karratha and head office team in Perth to ensure the team and client transition is seamless.

Realmark Group Managing Director, John Percudani said he believed the change would be refreshing for everyone.

“We want to take this time to congratulate Alex for what he has achieved to date in Karratha and fully understand his decision to focus on family.

“Jordan and Ellene come to the Realmark team with a wealth of knowledge of the market and we welcome them on board as the new directors of Karratha. Jordan, Ellene and Alex have created a great team and culture together in Karratha and we are confident that the team will flourish even further.

“The Karratha market is a tricky one and can be quite dependent on the economic climate. The stabilisation of the market will aid the transition even further.โ€

Alex will continue to work in partnership with Jordan and Ellene until the team have settled into their new roles.
