Justin Nickerson will call the auction for the 2026 House For Life for a third consecutive year, with Coronis Ascot’s Oliver Jonker leading the sales campaign for the Wavell Heights home.
The fully-furnished Lillian 438-D47, featuring the Monroe façade built by Plantation Homes at 9 Luke Street, Wavell Heights, will go to auction on Saturday 8 August at 1.15pm. All proceeds go to Mater Foundation, supporting seriously ill and premature babies cared for by Mater.
Now in its 11th year, House For Life has raised more than $9 million for Mater Little Miracles through the sale of 10 homes. The 2025 edition set a record result of $2.45 million.
Justin, founder of Apollo Auctions, has a personal connection to Mater – his daughter Piper was born there, and he spent three years volunteering on site supporting patients and their families.
“My time volunteering at Mater gave me a real appreciation for what care, kindness and small moments of joy can mean to families during challenging times,” Justin said.
“There is an air of expectation because everyone knows this sale has a purpose beyond the property. A family has the opportunity to secure an extraordinary home, while helping support babies who need specialist care.”
“To return for a third House for Life auction is a privilege. My role is to bring energy to the day, build momentum and help create the kind of auction where people feel proud to put their hand up for a very good cause.”
Oliver Jonker, director and selling principal of Coronis Ascot, is donating his time to lead the campaign. His son Roman was also born at Mater and is now three and a half.
“There is enormous comfort in knowing your baby is surrounded by people who do this work with such skill and compassion,” Oliver said.
“I have spent 11 years in real estate and have had the privilege of representing some exceptional homes in Wavell Heights, however this beautiful home carries a different weight. Donating my time to help find the right buyer is a small role, but one I am very proud to play.”
Set on a 708m² block, the double-storey home spans 47 squares and carries a seven-star energy rating. It includes five bedrooms with walk-in robes, a master suite with a private retreat and two dressing spaces, multiple living zones, a theatre room, an upstairs leisure area, a butler’s pantry, a swimming pool and fully furnished interiors, alongside passive solar design and Plantation Homes’ 50-year structural guarantee.
Mater’s Neonatal Critical Care Unit cares for close to 2,000 babies across Queensland each year, with funds raised through House For Life supporting specialist equipment, care and research. Wavell Heights sits around 10 kilometres north of Brisbane’s CBD.
