RE/MAX Australia brought together around 40 of its top property management professionals at Brisbane’s Bougainvillea House on Wednesday for the network’s annual Platinum Plus Forum.
The invitation-only event, now in its third year, is designed to recognise property managers’ contribution to the network and support their ongoing professional development.
RE/MAX Australia Operations Director Josh Davoren welcomed attendees, describing property management teams as central to the network’s success.
“Our property management teams are the driving force behind many successful REMAX businesses across the network,” Josh said.
“Property managers are the unsung heroes of our industry. Their contribution to keeping the industry moving, while supporting landlords and tenants across the country with compassion and professionalism, is truly outstanding and we are committed to recognising and empowering our professionals through events like this.”
The day’s line-up featured three speakers. Ashleigh Goodchild, Founder and Director of PM Collective and one of Western Australia’s respected industry figures, opened proceedings. Drawing on more than two decades in the industry, she spoke on delivering customer service with kindness, empathy and genuine support.
Sadhana Smiles, an award-winning leader, author, podcaster and Global CEO, followed with a session on building resilience, sharing her path from humble beginnings to industry leadership and why she considers resilience essential to long-term success.
The final speaker was Colleen Callander, the award-winning former Sportsgirl CEO, bestselling author, business advisor, board director and founder of Mentor Me Women. With more than three decades of leadership experience, she covered leading with personal values, building strong teams and recognising the signs of burnout.
Beyond the speaker program, the forum gave property managers from across the network a chance to connect with peers.
“We really aspire to help build connections within the REMAX network, and this event has provided both great content with our speakers Ashleigh, Sadhana and Colleen, and a great atmosphere for our property managers to come together,” Josh said.
