The pioneering initiative positions Harcourts Tasmania as the most AI-literate real estate group in the state, with participants learning to build custom GPTs, enhance photo editing workflows, and integrate artificial intelligence tools into their daily operations.
Tony Morrison, CEO of Harcourts Tasmania, described the workshop as a massive undertaking that had never been attempted before with a real estate group in Tasmania.
“Yesterday was a huge day and massive task to undertake something new, something which has not been done before with a real estate group in Tasmania. Running an interactive AI learning workshop for 150 plus people. Our goal was to start Harcourts Tasmania down the path of being the most AI literate real estate group in Tasmania,” Mr Morrison said.
The day commenced with a targeted two-hour session for business owners and the Leading-Edge Group, focusing on AI applications for business enhancement, before transitioning into the main workshop where participants gained hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI tools.
State Performance Coach Molly Gibbons praised the network’s willingness to embrace change. “I’m incredibly proud of our network.
Change can be scary, but yesterday 150 of our Harcourts team leaned into it together. We are leading the way to better serve our clients with confidence and innovation,” she said.
Ms Gibbons noted that the initiative appears to be unmatched in scale, stating that no other real estate group in Tasmania, or even nationally, is delivering AI training at this level.
Industry expert Samantha McLean, founder of Elite Agent and a trusted voice in real estate and generative AI, facilitated the workshop. Ms McLean highlighted the team’s quick understanding of AI’s true potential in the industry.
“Following the national Harcourts training, it’s been incredible to dive deeper with the Tasmania team. Their enthusiasm and commitment to mastering AI tools shows they’re not just participating in the conversation – they’re leading it. With this level of investment in their agents’ capabilities, 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for Harcourts Tasmania.”
“What impresses me the most was how quickly the team grasped that AI isn’t about replacing the personal touch – it’s about amplifying it. By automating routine tasks, these agents can spend more quality time with their clients, which is what truly matters in real estate.”
