Carey Mulligan, the two-time Oscar nominee, and her husband, Grammy-winning musician Marcus Mumford, have put their 1920s Spanish Revival-style home located above LA’s Sunset Strip back on the market.
The couple purchased the gated property for US$6.5 million just six months ago but have now listed it for US$6.495 million, according to The Dirt.
The three-story main house features almost 427 square metres of living space, with wide-plank wood floors, arched doorways, Venetian plaster walls, and a checkered pattern tile courtyard.
The dining room overlooks the step-down living room, which boasts a foliage-trimmed over-the-rooftops city view through a giant, single-pane picture window.
The home also includes a family room, upscale kitchen with navy-blue cabinets, four bedrooms, and a lounge/playroom and screening room on the lower level.
Outside, an elevated terrace with a cushioned built-in sofa and fire pit leads to a dark-bottom swimming pool, while an arched loggia beneath the garage/recording studio features a full outdoor kitchen.
The property includes five off-street parking spots.
Mulligan and Mumford also own a 16th century farmhouse in the English countryside and a residence in London.
The property is listed through Justin P. Huchel at Carolwood Estates.
