OBrien Real Estate held its 2026 Annual Leadership Conference in Nusa Dua, Bali, from 17–20 May, gathering business owners, senior leaders and high performers from across the network.
The conference theme – “Advance & Challenge” – reflected Managing Director Dean O’Brien’s focus on leadership discipline and execution.
“The market is asking more of every agency, every leader and every team member,” Dean said.
“It is asking for better decisions, higher standards and a willingness to challenge the habits that may have worked in the past.”
The four-day program featured Brendon Gale, CEO of the Tasmanian Devils and former Richmond Football Club chief executive, as the headline speaker.
Brendon drew on his experience in elite sporting environments to discuss high-performance leadership, accountability and culture.
“Brendon reminded us that culture is not what you write on a wall. Culture is what you tolerate, repeat and reward every day,” Dean said.

Industry speakers Johnny Bell and Brett Graham focused on practical application – the behaviours, systems and disciplines required to build stronger teams.
“Leadership is not just about having a vision. It is about the daily standards, the conversations, the follow-up and the consistency that turn strategy into results,” Dean said.

The conference also included sessions from Samantha McLean, Steven Osborn, Steve Hughes, Paul Loftus, Simon Cashman and Milan Cooper, covering themes of adaptability, innovation and accountability.
Dean said the network’s focus remains on translating conference insights into office-level action.
“When people return with clearer priorities, stronger accountability and a renewed focus on the fundamentals, the whole business becomes stronger.”
