The French-inspired mansion that hosted the first series of The Bachelor Australia is back on the market, with a price guide of $20 million.
Located at 68 Minkara Road, Bayview, the grand estate, known as La Joie de Vivre, holds a special place in reality television history.

It was at this sprawling 4,091 sqm property where chiropractor Tim Robards met lawyer Anna Heinrich during the 2013 season, leading to a real-life romance that has since seen them marry and start a family.
Despite the show’s happy ending, the estate itself has yet to find a permanent family.
Realestate.com.au reported it has had three owners since 2013 and this week launched an expressions of interest campaign via Sydney Sothebyโs International Realty, led by Michael Pallier and Spencer Sun.

The late transport magnate Gregory Poche and his wife Kay originally purchased the estate for $10 million in 2003.
They later allowed it to be used for the filming of The Bachelorโs debut season. After the series, the Poches sold the property in 2016 to freight tycoon Clive Thomas and his wife Lee for $7.05 million.
In 2020, the home changed hands again, selling for $8.5 million.

It was subsequently rented during 2022โ2023 for around $6,500 per week, before selling less than two years ago for $9 million. Following a series of cosmetic updates, the prestigious home is now seeking a buyer once more.
