The transition marks a significant step for the pair, combining two neighbouring offices to create a strengthened presence in Adelaide’s fast-growing northern corridor.
Callan Lister has served as principal at Ray White Angle Vale for many years, building a respected team and a strong reputation for quality service and results.
Now, Callan has made the decision to step away from real estate to pursue new opportunities and spend more time with his family.
“I have decided to have a change, and I know that Ross and Sallyann are the perfect people to build on the legacy and look after the great team at Ray White Angle Vale,” Callan said.
Ross and Sallyann will take the reins with the full support of Callan and the existing team, including seven staff members who will continue as normal, to ensure continuity for clients. Ross said the move felt like a natural progression for the business: “We’ve always looked at Angle Vale as a point of interest; it is next door to us, and when the opportunity came to work together with the team and the brand there, it was something we knew we wanted to do if it came to fruition. We only started discussions a few months ago, and the timing has now aligned perfectly.”
Sallyann echoed the sentiment, adding, “We really respect what Callan has built – credit to him for establishing such a brilliant team and strong reputation. He has a lot of faith in us to carry on that legacy, and we’re thrilled to embrace the opportunity.”
For Ross and Sallyann, expanding their leadership within the Ray White network was a deliberate choice.
“Choosing Ray White wasn’t a question of just signing up with another brand; we believe in the culture, the support, the systems, and the fact that we can build something meaningful for our people and our clients,” Ross said.
Their existing office at Ray White Gawler East opened in 2023, and the pair have quickly established a reputation for innovation, leadership, and a client-first approach.
The suburb of Angle Vale is one of the key growth areas in Adelaide’s north. Over the past six years, the area has seen extensive development and investment, with new housing estates, open spaces and infrastructure contributing to its growth.
“The northern corridor is such a hotspot with so much potential; there are so many open spaces to be unlocked,” Ross said.
“It’s the perfect spot between the city and the gateway to the Barossa; it still has that country township feel but remains so connected to everything, from hospitals to the defence force. It really is the best of both worlds.”
Ross and Sallyann bring over ten years of experience in the industry and a clear focus on people – both clients and staff.
“We’re really big on reinvesting in people and the office. We want to build a strong foundation where staff can develop and build their own careers,” Sallyann said.
“Customer service is at the heart of what we do, and we pride ourselves on that.”
They also see great opportunity in growing the auction culture in the northern suburbs.
“Auctions haven’t really taken off in Angle Vale yet, but we want to change that. We’re currently sitting at a 95 per cent clearance rate for our clients in our Gawler East office, and we’d love to replicate that success here,” Ross said.
The pair’s approach to leadership is built on open communication and a strong training culture. “We love working closely with our team and seeing them grow,” Sallyann said.
“We’re looking forward to expanding our team further in the near future – we have a great group now and an in-house concierge team to support both agents and clients.”
Sarah Burgess, head of property management at Ray White Angle Vale said by combining strengths and expertise, the team are creating even greater potential for what is ahead.
“When two strong offices come together, it marks the beginning of a bigger story, one built on shared purpose, new opportunities, and a clear determination to accomplish more together. We have each grown in our own ways, building teams, relationships, and momentum that brought us to this moment.”
High performing Ray White Angle Vale agent Steven Ulbrich echoed the excitement. “I’ve seen Angle Vale and its surroundings grow exponentially in recent years. Being one of the leading agents here in the north, the opportunity of merging the two offices will surely take every team member of both offices to new heights.”
Matt Lindblom, CEO of Ray White SA/NT said that with their proven results, local knowledge and enthusiasm for the area’s potential, Ross and Sallyann are well placed to lead Ray White Angle Vale into its next chapter.
“This is really about two forces joining together to become a powerhouse team in the north,” Mr Lindblom. “We’re excited for what’s ahead and we thank Callan for the indelible mark he has left on our group and the industry.”
