McGrath and Knight Frank establish another 4 dual-branded offices, in the Wide Bay-Fraser Coast

McGrath and Knight Frank have established four dual-branded offices in Queensland’s Wide Bay-Fraser Coast region, north of Brisbane.

The move brings the number of offices for the two brands combined in Australia to five, and significantly bolsters the offering of real estate services for clients in the growing Wide Bay-Fraser Coast region across both residential and commercial property by combining two of the strongest real estate brands in Australia.

The four new McGrath Knight Frank dual-branded franchises will be located in Bundaberg, Gladstone, Maryborough and Hervey Bay.

They will be headed up by existing McGrath franchisee Ainsley Driver, who has more than 22 years of experience in real estate in the Wide Bay-Fraser Coast area.

Mr Driver currently heads up McGrath franchises in Bundaberg and Gladstone, which will rebrand to McGrath Knight Frank, while a PRD office in Maryborough will also rebrand.

A new office will open in Hervey Bay under the dual brand.

The new McGrath Knight Frank franchises will deliver an extensive range of integrated real estate services across the residential and commercial sectors, encompassing property sales, leasing, asset management, and project marketing.

Backed by the combined expertise and resources of two industry leaders, the dual-branded offices will provide clients with a seamless and highly professional property experience across the Wide Bay-Fraser Coast region.

The establishment of four dual-branded McGrath Knight Frank offices in the Wide Bay-Fraser Coast region of Queensland follows the opening of the first dual office for the two brands in the regional New South Wales city of Tamworth in June.

Mr Driver said the establishment of our franchises under the dual McGrath Knight Frank brand would significantly bolster the offering of real estate services for clients in the Wide Bay-Fraser Coast region.

“Our offices will have many of the same familiar faces across the group, but having the partnership and backing of McGrath and Knight Frank will build on our existing strengths and expertise,” he said.

“It will allow us to provide a higher level of service and widen our reach right from Gladstone down to Hervey Bay.

“The two brands combined will provide an unparalleled real estate offering in the region, and significantly, this is the first time there will be a designated commercial franchise brand servicing the whole region.

“We are very excited to be able to partner with two of the strongest brands in Australia, and provide the highest level of service to our clients.

“The Wide Bay-Fraser Coast region is experiencing strong population growth, and this will boost both the residential and commercial property market moving forward.

“We are already seeing strengthening demand for commercial property in the area; a trend we expect to continue.”

Knight Frank Chief Executive Officer James Patterson said he was thrilled to announce the establishment of four new dual-branded franchises in Queensland’s Wide Bay-Fraser Coast region.

“The growing network of McGrath Knight Frank offices builds on the partnership between the two brands, but most importantly it will improve the offering for clients in this growing region of Queensland,” he said.

“We are excited to be able to offer clients in the Wide Bay-Fraser Coast region a local on-the-ground service, but one that is also globally connected and will ensure they receive the best service.

“This is particularly the case for commercial property, where demand is growing but services have been lacking.

“We look forward to growing the network of McGrath Knight Frank offices around Australia, particularly in underserviced regional areas.”

McGrath Head of Franchise Chris Mourd said the Wide Bay-Fraser Coast region had been going from strength to strength.

“This is a strategic expansion of a joint McGrath/Knight Frank presence in South East Queensland, and the next logical step for McGrath after establishing a strong presence in the region in 2022, with offices opening at Bundaberg and Bargara,” he said.

“We are delighted to be doing this alongside our partner Knight Frank, and to be providing residential and commercial services side-by-side.

“We see this as an amazing opportunity to support those clients with both residential and commercial property interests in those areas, providing a great point of leverage in those markets with a new buyer pool beyond the state, and globally through the expanded network.”

McGrath and Knight Frank have been in a partnership since June 2024 when Knight Frank, together with NZ-based Bayleys, completed a joint acquisition of a controlling stake in McGrath.

The McGrath Knight Frank offices will be located at:

• Maryborough – 232-244 Adelaide Street, Maryborough
• Hervey Bay – 19a Main Street, Pialba
• Bundaberg – 156 Bourbong Street, Bundaberg
• Gladstone – Shop 1, 69 Goondoon Street, Gladstone
