Christopher Lloyd, best known for his role as Doc Brown in Back to the Future, has listed his Montecito hideaway for $9.8 million (US $6.385 million).
The three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom home sits atop a private six-acre knoll in the Santa Barbara foothills, offering sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, the Channel Islands and the Santa Barbara harbour.
The NYPost reported Lloyd and his wife, Lisa, bought the property in 2017 after their previous home was destroyed in the 2008 Tea Fire.
Since then, the couple has undertaken a significant redesign. Lisa oversaw the transformation of what was once a stark contemporary structure into a warm and inviting retreat.

The revamp introduced wide-plank wood flooring, Roman clay plaster walls, mitered glass in the main bathroom, and soft architectural lines designed to create flow between spaces.
The 2,880-square-foot (268 mยฒ) residence features an open-plan living and dining area with floor-to-ceiling glass walls, framing sunset views across the coastline.

Outside, landscaped gardens showcase olive trees, bluestone pathways and drought-tolerant plantings that reflect the regionโs Mediterranean climate.
A separate one-bedroom guest cottage doubles as a creative studio and comes fitted with a professional-grade sound system, catering to both privacy and artistic pursuits.

The estate, marketed by Compass agents Arthur Kalayjian and Ron Brand, is described as a sanctuary for โslow livingโ, blending privacy, design and natural beauty.
