Harcourts Marketplace expands with new Centenary office opening

Harcourts Marketplace has announced the opening of its second office Harcourts Marketplace Centenary, based in Jindalee, marking a significant expansion for the established real estate team that has been serving Brisbane's western suburbs since 2017.

The new office will be led by Michael Devlin as Lead Sales Agent, joining founders Sarah Bailey and Chris Mihalopoulos in what represents a reunion over a decade in the making.

The trio first worked together at the same real estate office under a different brand more than 12 years ago, maintaining a strong friendship and professional relationship that has now evolved into this exciting expansion.

“The dream was always to expand into a second location when the time was right, but only with the right people,” said Sarah Bailey, co-founder of Harcourts Marketplace.

“So, when we were approached by Michael Devlin, we knew the time had come to create a second office.”

Michael Devlin explained his decision to join the team: “We decided to join Harcourts because it just felt like the right fit. I have known Sarah and Chris for about 12 years, and I wanted to be part of the amazing business they have created.”

Since establishing Harcourts Marketplace in 2017, Sarah and Chris have grown the business from five people focusing solely on sales, to a team of 20 with a rental portfolio exceeding 700 properties.

Their success stems from understanding what families seeking to move to the area truly value: established communities with excellent schools and residents who genuinely love their neighbourhoods.

“A purchase and a sale is much more than a transaction for the team, it’s being part of someone’s journey,” Sarah said.

Andrew Friebe, CEO of Harcourts Queensland, expressed his enthusiasm for the expansion: “Weโ€™re incredibly proud to see the dedication and passion this team brings to the communities they serve.”

“Their commitment to providing exceptional service and building genuine relationships has been the driving force behind their success.”

With a focus on understanding the unique needs of every client, the team has consistently delivered results that exceed expectations, further solidifying their reputation as trusted experts in the local property market.

Their expansion into the Centenary suburbs is seen as not just a business move but as an opportunity to deepen connections and contribute positively to the area.

Community involvement remains central to the business philosophy. “Community is at the heart of everything we do,” Chris said.

The team’s annual Harcourts Halloween in the Park event has grown from 50 attendees to over 2,000 locals, featuring free entertainment, food, and activities for families.

The dedication to giving back extends beyond seasonal celebrations. The team regularly supports local schools, charities, and sporting groups, fostering strong ties within the community.

“We believe in creating connections that go beyond property transactions,” Chris said.

With the office expansion, the team looks forward to furthering these relationships and making an even greater impact in the Centenary suburbs.
