Tameka Smith takes the crown in PM Transform 2018

After a closely fought battle, Tameka Smith of Key2 Property in Tasmania has taken out PM Transform for 2018

PM Transform 2018, in partnership with Real+, realestate.com.au and Rockend saw participants from across the country take part in a 30-day intensive training program, including live classes, daily challenges and exercises focused on helping them achieve their career goals.ย

A number of industry-recognised coaches and trainers participated, delivering live sessions and exclusive training content for the participants across the month.

Real estate professionals from a variety of backgrounds and in various points of their career took part in the program.

Throughout the series, challenge points were allocated, with Tameka Smith of key2 Property in Tasmania landing the title after a closely fought battle between the top spots.

Real+ Director and CEO Fiona Blayney said, โ€œThere a lot of strategy behind building a program like PM Transform. You need to create a diverse training schedule which supports the participants towards the achievement of the results they are seeking while balancing the time, energy, effort and commitment required.โ€

โ€œThe top performers gave not just their time, but a total commitment to complete immersion in the process.

โ€œThere is no coincidence that some of the top group also embarked on private coaching throughout the process. The coaching didn’t give them a boost in the competition, it just required them to make an additional commitment and added another level of accountability for the transformation process.โ€

One of the coaches some of the Transform participants worked with was Lauren Kirk of Real+. She said one of the best things the participants took away from the program was the ability to share information, something which isn’t always eagerly done in the real estate industry.

“It was really great to see the participants get involved in buddy program and work with each other. It’s great when they take on ideas and implement them, and to see them working together on those ideas and exploring them is a really positive thing.

“What we noticed from the Transformers at the top was they took that on more than anyone else, and really embraced the challenges and new information. They shared ideas. Sometimes in real estate, I think people get scared to share ideas, so it’s just great to see everybody willing to share and have an open mind about taking ideas on.”

“What really works with all of our Transform programs is trusting the process, and implementing one small lesson every day. That way you don’t come out of any training session with overwhelm, and you’re clear on the next task at hand, ” said Elite Agent Editor Samantha McLean.

“But the trick is you need to keep up, doing one small lesson each day, or risk falling behind. The one thing everyone really learns isย  discipline.”

Tara Bradbury of BDM Academy was one of the industry experts who provided a session for the PM Transform participants. She said it was a โ€˜pleasure to be a coach on the PM Transform programโ€™, noting one of the highlights to be seeing the progression of the transformers over the 30 days.

Managing Director of @home Property Management Solutions, Michelle Williams, took part in the program as both a coach and also as the leader for several of her team members who were undergoing the challenges.

“This is my first experience with Transform as both a coach and a leader of several team members who took part in the program and I have to say it has been such a privilege to see so many dedicated career property managers investing in their own personal development. As an industry, we are so fortunate to have organisations such as Elite Agent and Real+ offering first class training and mentoring programs,” she said.

“I have had firsthand experience watching my own team members grow during the process, including one who made it to the top five. It has been an incredible confidence boost for her and she really has transformed the way she thinks about her role, her clients and her career.”

PM Transform 2018 covered a wide range of content relevant to real estate professionals. Participants were coached in topics from social media, digital marketing, goal setting, database management and self-defense.
