After plenty of fanfare, actress Sandra Bullock has officially sold her 91-acre California avocado ranch to a dental services tycoon.
According to The Dirt, Bullock sold the property for US$5.6 million, more than twice the US$2.725 million she paid back in 2007, but a little under her asking price of US$6 million.
The ranch is made up of three separate parcels of land, with the main residence boasting 360-degree views of the mountains.
The 550sq m, single-storey authentic adobe home was built in 1990 and features a stone-paved courtyard with a fountain at its centre.
Inside there is a host of high-tech security and a comprehensive home automation system, as well as nine fireplaces and an electric car charging station.
There are also four ensuite bedrooms, with one that has its own kitchen, making it perfect for guests.
In total there are six bathrooms, a dining room with a wet bar and a circular beamed ceiling, and a farmhouse-style kitchen.
French doors allow for easy access to the outdoor areas and contain a number of terraces, flowering gardens and a saltwater pool and spa.
On top of all of that, there are also solar panels, a backup generator, RV hookups and a chicken coop.
Bullock owns a large property portfolio including a townhouse in lower Manhattan, an ornate mansion in New Orleans, and more than half a dozen properties in and around Austin, Texas.
