We Are Real Estate

Paul Reed: Forming connections

In his years in the industry, PRDnationwide agent Paul Reed has learned real estate is about people, not property

On getting into real estate
After a successful sales career in retail for some of Australia’s biggest companies, it was time for a change and after a conversation one night with my partner and her father who worked in real estate, it was suggested I give real estate a go. The rest is history, so to speak

The happiest moment in my career
Every sale so far and, most importantly, helping people being able to enter the market and own their own home.

The most memorable moment
It was a large property in Rosetta with some of the best views around. It was featured on Sky News and I was grateful to be a part of the sale.

Best advice he’s received
Real estate is about people not property. Connect with people and give great service and the rest will happen.

Biggest challenge
Planning and developments of projects and the ability to have them approved in a timely manner. A good way to go about this is have a central planning scheme committee to assess all applications in a timely manner and remove the responsibility from local councils.

Change for good?
I don’t think there is any change needed – there are so many positives in our industry and the right agent can sell property in any market and any condition.

‘Elite’ agent means
An elite agent is an agent who provides the absolute best service and is relentless when achieving the right result for clients.

#WeAreRealEstate is a series of short interviews with 140 agents all over Australia exploring the industry’s hopes, concerns, future challenges, and what it really means to be an Elite Agent.
