Patrick D’Arrigo: Building success through personalised service

Brisbane real estate agent Patrick D'Arrigo balances business success with family life in Warner, where his client-focused approach has flourished. After seven years with @realty, he's opening his own office while maintaining the personalised service that became his trademark: "I want to treat people how I want to be treated."

Patrick D’Arrigo has found the perfect balance between business success and family life in Brisbane’s suburb of Warner, where his attention to detail and client-focused approach has made him a standout performer.

After nearly seven years with @realty, Patrick is now taking the next step in his career by opening his own office under the company’s OASIS powered by @realty model, allowing him to maintain the personalised service that has become his trademark.

“With @realty, you can go at your own pace,” Patrick said.

“The support is there if you need it, and they’re very flexible with how they operate.”

A real estate upbringing

Patrick’s connection to real estate runs deep, with his mother owning her own office in West End during his childhood.

“I grew up seeing how the industry runs,” he said.

“I got a bird’s eye view of the industry, the ins and outs, the fun that you can have, and the commitment you need for your clients at a young age.”

Despite this early exposure, Patrick didn’t immediately follow in his mother’s footsteps.

He spent his twenties involved in property renovation and other sales avenues before finally entering real estate at age 32.

“It was always a question of when, not if, I would get into sales myself,” he explained.

Once he made the leap, success came quickly.

Within two years of starting at Patrick had risen to the top 7 per cent of the company’s Queensland agents.

The Warner community

Patrick has built his business primarily in Warner, part of the Greater Morton Bay community, where he was immediately drawn to the area’s charm and potential.

“I stumbled upon Warner in my early days. I loved the area and the community,” he said.

“There’s an area called Warner Lakes, which is a man-made lake that’s like a mini botanical gardens lifestyle spot. It resonated with me, and I thought it was a bit undervalued.”

The area offers a diverse market, with half of Patrick’s clients being first-time buyers and first-time sellers, creating an opportunity for him to provide the detailed guidance he prides himself on.

“That extra attention to detail with providing service to both buyers and sellers resonates with how I like to operate,” he said.

“We go that extra mile for them because they’ve never been through the process before on either end.”

The area also features larger acreage properties, attracting families looking for their “dream forever home” as well as long-term residents who are downsizing.

Client-focused approach

While many agents focus primarily on sales numbers, Patrick has deliberately chosen quality over quantity, prioritising exceptional service for each client.

“In this industry, every client’s needs and wants are different, especially in the modern world,” he said.

“Listening to clients, understanding what works for them, and assisting them with real attention to detail is what I pride myself on rather than just the numbers.”

This philosophy led him to @realty after leaving the larger brand, where he felt the pressure to “churn and burn clients” conflicted with his service-oriented approach.

“The bigger you get, the more you can water down your service and move onto the next, which doesn’t sit well with me,” he explained.

“I want to treat people how I want to be treated.”

Family balance

With three young children aged seven, five, and three, Patrick appreciates the flexibility @realty offers, allowing him to balance his professional ambitions with family life.

“Family is very important to me,” he said.

“If you have a month or two that are a little bit below where you want to be, there’s no whiteboard pressure to keep your numbers up.”

This balance extends to his community involvement, where he sponsors the local Bray Park High School while focusing most of his energy on serving his clients.

As he prepares to open his new office in Warner, Patrick remains focused on his clients rather than personal accolades.

“I love what I do and love my clients, but I’m humble,” he said.

“Working for them and helping them in their life journey is key to what I do and how we operate.”
