Twilight star Kristen Stewart is looking to downsize her hefty property portfolio starting with the sale of her Malibu getaway for US$8.3 million.
According to The Dirt, Stewart has offloaded the Malibu beach house that she shared with her mother, Jules Mann-Stewart, after initially listing it for US$9.5 million in August 2020.
Stewart is still sitting on a tidy profit on the deal, having paid just US$5 million nearly 10 years ago.
Spanning just under a quarter-acre, the home was built in 1993 and designed by Lorcan OโHerlihy Architects.
The home boasts four bedrooms and four bathrooms split over multiple levels in the main house and a one-bedroom, one-bathroom, two-storey guesthouse with a total of 538sq m of open-concept living space.
The property has decidedly coastal vibes with a nautically inspired anchor on the floor-to-ceiling fireplace, walls of windows and sliding glass doors that open out to the balcony.
Other highlights include an adjacent dining room and galley-style kitchen fitted with Bosch, Dacor and KitchenAid appliances, plus wood cabinetry, poured concrete countertops, a walk-in pantry and a climate-controlled wine closet.
The master retreat is equipped with a stone-tiled bath and a separate lounge area that leads out to an expansive deck.
Finally, a suspension bridge connects to the oval-shaped guesthouse, which also has a kitchenette and access to an outdoor hot tub.
