The sale isn’t Dr. Dre’s only play in the LA market recently: he listing is Malibu home for US$20 million in November 2022.

The rapper is set to make a tidy profit on the sale, having paid US$4.8 million in 2000.

The three-storey mansion sits on a 650sq m lot right on the white sand of Malibu’s Carbon Beach.

Built in the early 1990s, the luxury home boasts impressive water views and ceiling-high windows in every room that let in plenty of natural light.

Located behind large gates, the front door opens into a small foyer that leads guests to an oversized great room with a stone fireplace and sliding glass doors that open to the impressive balcony.

Inside the 836sq m mansion, there’s an open-plan kitchen with stainless appliances, an executive office, a recording studio, a large gym area, and five guest bedrooms.
