Christian Zeidler expands McGrath presence with new Dapto office

McGrath Estate Agents has expanded its footprint along NSW's Illawarra Coast with Principal Christian Zeidler opening a new office in Dapto.

McGrath Estate Agents has strengthened its presence along NSW’s Illawarra Coast with the opening of McGrath Dapto, led by Principal Christian Zeidler.

Mr Zeidler, who also heads McGrath’s Wollongong and Thirroul offices, will lead the new team alongside Group Co-Directors Charlie Zeidler and Daniel Lambert.

The strategic addition of a dedicated Dapto team is crucial to McGrath’s south coast operations, connecting the growth areas of Albion Park and Shellharbour in the south with established Wollongong and Thirroul markets.

Head of Franchise for McGrath Chris Mourd said the new location was important.

“Our Dapto office is pivotal to connecting the growth areas of Albion Park and Shellharbour in the south with our established Wollongong and Thirroul markets,” Mr Mourd said.

“It consolidates our presence in the greater Illawarra region strengthening our ability to serve existing clients as well as engendering new business.”

McGrath Dapto will focus on the area from Dapto to Shellharbour.

Together with the Thirroul and Wollongong offices, McGrath will cover the Illawarra region from the coast to the Escarpment and from Lilyvale in the north to Calderwood in the south.

The Dapto area offers an exceptional lifestyle with quick access to South Coast beaches, the Southern Highlands via Robertson, and fishing on Lake Illawarra, bordered by dairy farms with the majestic Escarpment as backdrop.

Mr Zeidler said there was some strategic importance of the location.

“We chose the strategic location of Dapto to address the significant demand for affordable property in the Illawarra,” Mr Zeidler said.

“We’re seeing interest from a wide geographic pool that includes buyers from Canberra and south-west Sydney as well as movement within the Illawarra region.”

Growth suburbs like Calderwood, Stream Hill and Albion Park are attracting buyers looking for value for money.

Compared to Sydney’s median house price of $1.46 million and Canberra’s at $965,000, the Dapto area has a median of $868,000.

“We’re seeing buyers who are swapping life in outer Sydney, an hour or more from the beach, to here where the coast is 10 minutes’ drive away, Lake Illawarra is central to sports and recreation and the overall environment is so attractive to families,” Mr Zeidler said.

“The bonus of this lifestyle location is our proximity to the commercial hub of Wollongong, Sydney and our interstate connectivity.”

The area offers excellent transport links, with Dapto train station providing direct access to Sydney’s CBD and Shellharbour Airport offering daily flights to Melbourne and Brisbane.

The McGrath Dapto team includes selling agents Daniel Lambert and Dylan Cairn, a Property Management team and support staff.

McGrath Dapto is located at 33 Baan Baan Street, Dapto.
