Ray White Double Bay office opens flagship office

Ray White Double Bay's stunning new flagship headquarters doesn't just occupy Sydney real estate, it dominates it.

Ray White Double Bay’s new 5 level building on a prime corner block at 357 New South Head Road represents more than just a relocation – it’s a statement of intent that establishes a new benchmark for real estate office design and client service integration across the Sydney market.

The state-of-the-art building represents a perfect synergy between Ray White’s market-leading brand strength and an iconic, architecturally designed space that houses all five business units under one roof for the first time.

“I believe having all five businesses under one roof in the new office creates incredible synergies,” said Elliott Placks, Ray White Double Bay Managing Director.

“Residential sales often lead into property management, those clients may need finance, and many also have commercial property needs. Similarly, when selling our project developments, the buyers often need to sell their existing residential properties. Bringing all these services together in one location will deliver a far more seamless and elevated experience for our clients.”

The new headquarters features a thoughtfully designed interior that integrates cutting-edge technology throughout, supporting everything from high-quality video conferencing to real-time reporting and communication between departments through live link-ups.

“We’re also introducing gamified software to foster a healthy sense of internal competition and engagement too,” Mr Placks said.

The design vision was inspired by the sails of boats, reflecting Double Bay’s waterfront location, while the office features curved bronze windows for a timeless and natural flow.

The top floor is a versatile space for multiple uses, including off-plan selling (with $400 million in projects), meetings, auctions, and social events.

This space will also be used for training, wellness activities like pilates and meditation, promoting employee wellbeing.

The building showcases exceptional architectural pedigree, with exteriors designed by Bruce Stafford of Stafford Architecture and interiors by Richard Stanazich.

Both designers are renowned for their work on premium residential and commercial properties throughout Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

“Combining Bruce for the exterior and Richard for the interior felt like a perfect match. I’m excited to share the final result from this collaboration. The balance between design integrity and functionality was a key consideration,” Mr Placks said.

“Beyond the tech, the architecture, fixtures, and fittings have all been selected to reflect the premium nature of the properties we represent and the calibre of our clientele in the eastern suburbs.”

“The focus has been on creating a space that works well for staff and office operations, with offices around the perimeter of each level allowing senior agents privacy while keeping their teams in close proximity for better collaboration.”

A standout feature of the new headquarters is the reimagined auction room located on the top level of the building, offering a completely fresh approach to the traditional auction experience.

“Yes, we’re also excited about the new auction room,” Mr Placks said.

“Auctions will be held every Thursday in a completely reimagined environment, offering a fresh and dynamic approach to selling. I’m really looking forward to unveiling the space and seeing how it enhances the auction experience.”

The move comes at a time when Ray White Double Bay’s team of 80 staff required close to 1,000sqm of space, a requirement that would have been impossible to meet elsewhere in the current Double Bay market under one roof.

“Having all five brands under one roof will significantly enhance collaboration and allow us to cross-pollinate the businesses more effectively,” said Mr Placks, who has been with Ray White since 2003.

“The new space offers cutting-edge technology, modern fixtures and fittings, and an abundance of natural light thanks to its corner location.”

The strategic consolidation positions the office to better serve clients across residential sales, property management, finance, commercial property, and project development services.

The new headquarters is already proving to be a powerful recruitment tool, with the modern environment and market-leading position attracting top talent to the team.

“New team members are excited about joining us in this new environment, and we’re already receiving inquiries from potential recruits, drawn by our market leadership and strong presence in our core suburbs,” Mr Placks said.
