Jack Silvagni, who is set to leave Carlton as an unrestricted free agent and join St Kilda for the 2026 AFL season, sold his Mont Albert North house for $1.99 million at auction.
The four-bedroom property, which Silvagni purchased for $1.55 million in 2019, attracted four bidders before selling well above its $1.65m-$1.8m price guide according to realestate.com.au.
Marshall White Boroondara director Chris Barrett said a family purchased the well-renovated home.

“It was well renovated with a favoured northern rear orientation and on a good-sized block close to all the amenities, public transport, the freeway and schools,” he told realestate.com.au.
The son of Carlton veteran Stephen Silvagni, who is now a St Kilda list manager, Jack has played 128 games for the Blues and is now headed to St Kilda.

Meanwhile, Essendon player Jayden Laverde and his wife, Abbey Kosmatos, also sold their three-bedroom Victorian-era home in Ascot Vale on the same day.
The property initially passed in on a $1.52m vendor bid before selling for an undisclosed amount following negotiations with two interested buyers.

Nelson Alexander partner Jayson Watts revealed the buyer was a young man planning to live there with his partner.
“They love the location close to Union Rd, the northern orientation, the floorplan and the layout,” Mr Watts said.

Silvagni’s Mont Albert North property features bi-fold doors opening to a deck and a kitchen fitted with stone benches and a 90cm Ilve oven.
The home’s renovation and prime location were key selling points that helped drive the price nearly $450,000 above what he paid six years ago.

Laverde, who has been with Essendon since 2015, saw strong interest in his Ascot Vale property, which features an open-plan living and dining area with an open fireplace and a kitchen equipped with stainless-steel cooking appliances and an AEG dishwasher.
