Liam Neeson’s NYC home finds buyer after price reduction

Actor Liam Neeson has found a buyer for his sprawling Upper West Side Manhattan home after lowering the asking price to US$10.75 million (AUD$16.5 million).

The 4,524-square-foot residence in Lincoln Square’s Park Millennium building entered contract more than four months after being relisted in March.

The property was originally listed in early 2024 for US$12.75 million before the price adjustment, according to The New York Post.

The 73-year-old actor, known for roles in over 100 films including “Schindler’s List” and “Love Actually,” assembled the home from three separate units approximately 25 years ago for around US$3.99 million.

Neeson and his late wife, actress Natasha Richardson, raised their two sons in the residence.

According to the listing, the residence is located on the 28th floor of 111 W. 67th St., with five bedrooms and five bathrooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and offering panoramic views of Central Park and the city skyline.

The property includes a corner great room, an eat-in chef’s kitchen with pantry, and a large dining area.

The main bedroom suite includes park views, two spa-like bathrooms, a home office/library, and a gym.

Throughout the home, custom-built-ins and window treatments enhance the living spaces.

The building itself offers luxury amenities including an Equinox gym with a pool, rock-climbing wall, and basketball court.

Its prime location spans from Columbus to Broadway between West 67th and West 68th streets and features two separate entrances.

Neeson’s decision to sell comes years after the tragic loss of his wife Natasha Richardson in 2009 following a ski accident in Quebec.

The couple had purchased and combined the units around 1999.

The identity of the buyer and final sale price remain unknown and won’t be revealed until the transaction closes.

The property had been on the market for over four months since its March relisting at the reduced price.

The Park Millennium has housed other celebrities in the past, including radio personality Howard Stern and musician Jon Bon Jovi, making it a desirable address for high-profile residents seeking luxury accommodations in Manhattan’s Lincoln Square neighborhood.
