Former ‘High School Musical’ star’s LA home hits market for $4.375 million

Vanessa Hudgens's former Los Angeles residence has been listed for sale at US$4.375 million, marking the first time the property has returned to the market since the actress sold it in 2019.

The Spanish-style home in Studio City’s Wrightwood Estates neighbourhood was owned by Hudgens for approximately 11 years, having purchased it in 2008 for US$2.75 million.

The timing of her acquisition coincided with the release of “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” the final instalment of the Disney franchise that launched her career.

Built in 2005, the property sits on one-third of an acre and features nearly 5,300 square feet of living space, according to the listing.

The residence maintains its distinctive Spanish architectural elements, including a white stucco exterior, red tile roof, decorative iron work, tile floors, and curved doorways and windows.

According to listing agent Michael J. Okun of Sotheby’s International Realty – Sherman Oaks Brokerage, the current owners have preserved many of Hudgens’s design choices since purchasing the home from her for US$3.15 million in 2019.

“Though it’s been six years since Hudgens moved out, it appears many of her design choices have remained, and the owners haven’t renovated the home since buying it from the actress,” Mr Okun told Mansion Global.

The spacious interior includes five bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms.

The primary suite features a two-sided fireplace and a private covered balcony offering mountain views, providing an elegant retreat within the home.

Multiple balconies extend from the second floor, enhancing the property’s indoor-outdoor living experience.

The main level includes a covered al fresco dining area that connects to the pool area, which is complemented by additional luxury amenities.

The outdoor space has been thoughtfully designed with entertainment in mind, featuring a hot tub, built-in barbecue, and a raised patio positioned above the swimming pool.

Hudgens, now 36, has moved on from the property, but her former residence continues to showcase the Spanish-influenced design that characterises many luxury homes in the Los Angeles area.
