The couple purchased the Georgian-style brick house in 2021 with intentions to relocate their family to the property located in the desirable Terrytown neighborhood, approximately 10 minutes from downtown Austin.
Despite investing three years in renovating the 1940s-era home, Stone and McCary have decided to sell according to the NY Post.
The 10,000-square-foot estate sits on 1.24 acres and features a four-bedroom main house, a two-bedroom guesthouse, and a garage with its own screening room and entertainment space.
The property also includes a pool, hot tub, and meticulously designed gardens.
Eric Moreland of Moreland Properties/Forbes Global Properties, who represents the listing, said there has been extensive renovation work undertaken by the couple.
“The pair also removed, cleaned and reused all the home’s exterior brick,” Mr Moreland told the Wall Street Journal.
The renovation project included significant structural changes to modernise the space while preserving its historic character.
“Renovations included opening up the kitchen to the living room and installing extensive millwork in the screening room,” Mr Moreland said.
Interior photos reveal the results of the couple’s restoration efforts, showcasing fresh millwork, leaded-glass windows, marble accents, and herringbone floors throughout the property.
The main house features a sunlit solarium and a panelled library, blending classic architectural elements with contemporary design.
Stone and McCary, who met on “Saturday Night Live” in 2016 and married in 2020, have created one of the most expensive residential properties currently available in Austin.
The listing includes special outdoor features such as a cutting garden and a fairy garden alongside expansive lawn space.
