The auctioneering titles not only help aspiring real estate agents by building their skills and confidence, but also acknowledge their passion and motivation within the industry.

Woodards duo Luke Banitsiotis and Ashley Maikousis have taken out the REIV Senior Auctioneer and Novice Auctioneer Awards (respectively).
Ashley Maikousis, 26 stepped into real estate only six months ago, after stumbling across a Seek ad.
Six months later and with training via the Woodards Auctioneering Academy, Ashley developed the confidence and skills to go up against Victoria’s finest young auctioneers.
Young, determined and with goals set high, Ashley is one woman to watch in the real estate world.
“Never did I expect to end up in property, fall in love the industry this much, and then go on to win the Novice Auctioneering Award.
“The award has inspired to continue my career in real estate and I hope that I can motivate young women to enter the industry,” Ms Maikousis said.
Luke Banitsiotis is no stranger to the Auctioneering Competitions.
He has won the REIV Novice Auctioneer Award in 2012, REIV Senior Auctioneer Award 2018, 2019 and 2022, as well as REIA/REINZ Australasian Auctioneering Finalist (Top 5 AUS/NZ) 2019 and 2022.
These titles have also added the badge of REIV Master Auctioneer to Banitsiotis’ record with only 18 active in the state.
Despite his impressive record, what motivates Banitsiotis is teaching the rookies.
“I’m pleased with my achievements, however mentoring my peers is what I’m proudest of. Providing advice, teaching, and training Ashley and seeing what she has achieved in such a short time is amazing,” Mr Banitsiotis said.

Mr Banitsiotis and Ms Maikousis weren’t alone when it came to winning awards at the REIV Awards Night last week.
The Woodards Team took out another five awards, making it seven in total:
