Western Australians are encouraged to ‘look West’ in new REIWA media campaign

The Real Estate Institute of Western Australia (REIWA) has launched a new media campaign encouraging locals to ‘look West’ for their property needs.

REIWA chief executive officer (CEO) Neville Pozzi said the ‘look West’ advertising campaign aimed to reintroduce their online real estate portal reiwa.com.au to the state’s current and future prospective buyers and sellers.

“With our local property market firmly in a recovery phase after a long and sustained downturn, West Australians are excited about property again and looking local,” Mr Pozzi said.

We are seeing immense competition in the market, with strong turnouts at home opens, widespread price growth and elevated sales numbers for the first time in more than five years.

“We wanted to capitalise on this positive market momentum and highlight that nobody knows WA like West Australians do.

“We were excited to engage Moonsail creative agency to develop a creative concept that encouraged people to choose local and think about reiwa.com when searching for property.”

Moonsail Co-Founder and Creative Partner Paul Coghlan said the pandemic had changed the way people view the world and the ‘Look West’ creative concept captured the pride of West Australians.

“We are leaning into local more than ever before and people would much rather live in WA than anywhere else right now,” Mr Coghlan said.

“We wanted the campaign to celebrate being West Australian and convince West Aussies to look to the property portal with the greatest local smarts.”

The ‘Look West’ campaign kicked off on Monday 13 September across many Perth media channels and will run until June 2022.
