Lee Dowdall joins The Agency in Hunters Hill

The Agency is continuing to grow its footprint across Sydney, with the group announcing Lee Dowdall will spearhead its expansion into Hunters Hill.

According to The Agency, the appointment of Mr Dowdall will further connect high-calibre agents across Sydney’s blue-chip suburbs.

A spokesperson for the group said The Agency had observed migration between the Eastern Suburbs and Lower North Shore, and the addition of Mr Dowdall would further strengthen the agent reach and network in the area.

Mr Dowdall joining The Agency follows the recent expansion into the Queensland market in March under new state manager David Price, and the recent appointment of Geoff Lucas as group chief executive officer.

Mr Lucas said Mr Dowdall had an exceptional reputation in the Hunters Hill market and broader region.

“He is one of the true real estate professionals and has worked alongside some of the very best in property,” Mr Lucas said.

Mr Lucas said Hunters Hill was a key market for the Sydney and Lower North Shore metropolitan region.

“It is an aspirational suburb and one in which we have been seeking to enter with the right agent,” he said.

“We feel The Agency business model, commitment to quality results, and importantly the culture, will be a perfect match for the local community.

“We could not have found a more suitable professional to spearhead our entry into Hunters Hill than Lee.”

LOCAL KNOWLEDGE

Mr Dowdall is a local resident and has strong ties within the Hunters Hill community.

He has been specialising in real estate for 12 years and is responsible for some of the area’s most prestigious and highest-value sales.

Mr Dowdall said joining The Agency fit with his plan to expand his market share, as well as further serve his local community.

“I was drawn to The Agency as I could see the potential for growth in my business by bringing The Agency brand to Hunters Hill,” Mr Dowdall said.

“There is clear leadership provided by (CEO) Matt Lahood and Geoff Lucas that provides the opportunity for professional development, along with a strong cultural fit that aligns with my personal values.

“Not to mention access to a highly respected brand with Australia’s leading agents located in key areas.”

The Hunters Hill market has becomne a lifestyle destination over the past few years, with desirable schools, a bustling restaurant scene, natural beauty and close proximity to Sydney’s CBD.

Mr Dowdall said he had observed a significant increase in buyer demand in the Hunters Hill area since the emergence of COVID-19.

“Buyers are searching for premium properties at unprecedented levels in the area, they are looking to either build their dream home or buy the complete package ready to move in,” he said.

“For local owners considering a change, now is the time to take advantage of the buoyant climate and record high clearance rates.”

COMMUNITY-DRIVEN

In addition to his professional strengths and experience, Mr Dowdall has become an important figure in the industry and local community as an inspirational speaker.

Mr Dowdall and his wife tragically lost their young daughter to brain cancer in 2019.

Mr Dowdall began publicly sharing his personal journey and healing process, and this has led to providing life insights and perspective to others.

Mr Dowdall is regularly approached to talk at industry, community and corporate events and Mr Lucas said The Agency was honoured that Mr Dowdall would continue to provide his insightful guidance to the network.

“Lee has always conducted himself with the highest levels of integrity and humility,” Mr Lucas said.

“Through his extraordinary life experiences, Lee possesses a level of maturity and understanding of people’s and families’ needs that transcends most.”

Mr Dowdall said his personal story had allowed him to assess what was truly important and sharing it had allowed him to give back to those in the community who stood by his family through such a challenging time.

“I now want to give back and real estate allows me to do that,” he said.

“I take a very real and honest approach and genuinely care about the outcome for all of my clients. This is more than just selling someone’s home, it is about building long-term relationships.

“I believe I know better than anyone how to sell the benefits of this community, which has stood by my family and I during the most difficult times.”
