Stone Real Estate grows office count from three to 50 in five years

Stone Real Estate just hit a major milestone of 50 offices, as the company overhauls its branding strategy and beefs up its regional offering.

Fast-growing real estate franchise Stone will clock it’s 50th office opening in five years later this month, with Stone Gregory Hills in Sydney’s south west officially opening its doors.

The milestone comes as Australia’s real estate sector booms, and as agents look beyond the traditional franchise model to build business. Stone now has offices all along the eastern seaboard, with more plans for growth and another two offices opening in the coming months.

Targeting a younger demographic with it’s fresh, entrepreneurial focus, Stone puts its fast-paced growth down to its strategy to enable its business owners to realise their full potential, rather than stifle them into a certain approach.

“Hitting 50 offices in such a short time period validates our unique approach to franchising,” Stone’s head of franchise Luke Cameron said.

“The Australian real estate franchise landscape has been dominated by traditional business format franchise models for decades now. Our growth can be attributed to encouraging an entrepreneurial spirit amongst our business owners, which in turn fosters a high performance culture.”

Stone is the brainchild of Peter Mumford, a former leading principal at McGrath, who launched the real estate brand after spotting a gap in the market.

“Our success is based on the fact that we have the expertise to partner with everyone from new agents seeking guidance in starting their own businesses, through to experienced agents who are looking to accelerate their business growth,” Mr Mumford said.

“Our franchise model is successful because it doesn’t require agents to conform to a framework. Stone was built around meeting the needs of business owners.

Stone has recently embarked on a rebranding rollout, coupling a fresher look with an increased emphasis on digital marketing and social media resourcing for its agent-base, which aims to help every agent stand out.

The phased rollout includes beefing up its regional branding efforts with the launch of a new website, to support its growing presence in the regions, with new offices recently opening in Wyong and Bowral, as sky-high Sydney property prices drive many to realise their tree change and sea change dreams.
