Rexfest Live shares the secret to leveraging digital marketing

Internet users are spending almost two and a half hours on social media every day, according to information revealed at Rexlabs’ second Rexfest Live event, providing a huge, and largely untapped, opportunity for real estate professionals.

The event, hosted by Spoke Product Manager Rahul Nair focused on the impact digital marketing is having on our collective lives, and how real estate agents can harness that reach to grow their listing and sales activity.

The highlight of the event was a panel discussion about the growing influence of social media on business, and growing a business using digital marketing.

The panel featured Karen Hutton from Hutton & Hutton, Cassie Smith from Smitherson, and Graeme Carmichael from LJ Hooker Property Centre.

Mr Nair said the event was a huge success, and as a product manager new to the real estate industry, he personally found the panel provided a unique insight into a range of important topics.

“The event was a success with good turnout and great conversations,” Mr Nair said.

“In a first for Rexlabs, it was an opportunity for Spoke’s customers and prospects to meet the team behind the product and also get a sneak-peek into Spoke’s product roadmap.”

Mr Nair said some of the key insights from panel discussion included:

  • One of the biggest benefits of digital marketing tools is that they produce measurable results.
  • Agency brand awareness is a key driver in the adoption of digital strategies to improve marketing operations and growing business.
  • Skills gap is one of the biggest challenges in bringing digital into a business or becoming a digital-first business in real estate.

Discussion also centred around the huge role social and digital media played in our everyday lives, and how Spoke, part of the Rex family of products, could help real estate agents capitalise on that exposure.

For example, the team at H&H have been successfully using Spoke to deliver its marketing efforts faster, allowing staff to spend more time on the creative process than the set up.

Conversely, LJ Hooker Property Centre has embraced Spoke as a way to support its sales agents, enabling the team to focus on the things they’re most passionate about – communicating with buyers, sellers, tenants and investors.
