RE/MAX appoints Josh Davoren as marketing director

Josh Davoren was announced this week as a director of all companies under the umbrella of RE/MAX Australia and RE/MAX New Zealand.

He joins Managing Director Michael Davoren, Finance Director Chris Chapman, Franchise Director Joel Davoren and Independent Chairman Adrian Lane-Mullins on the Board.

Sydney-based Josh Davoren joined the corporate team in 2016, in a strategic move to grow the brandโ€™s presence and facilitate new business development. His current role, Business Growth Manager โ€“ New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, will remain a priority.

Josh Davoren has a Bachelor of Psychology and a Master’s in Business Marketing. He has extensive international marketing experience with major brands, having been based in London and Toronto for seven years. He is a fully licensed real estate agent in New South Wales.

โ€œThe Boardโ€™s decision to appoint Josh as Marketing Director is a strategic recognition of his high-level skills and the commitment he has demonstrated to RE/MAX and our industry at large,โ€ said Michael Davoren.

โ€œJosh is well credentialed for his extended role, and we look forward to him bringing a whole new level of knowledge in the marketing field to the table.โ€

While Josh Davorenโ€™s scope of expertise has included senior marketing roles and high-end clients, he has been surrounded by real estate all his life. He and brother Joel are third-generation real estate professionals following father Michael and grandfather James (Jim), a Gold Coast real estate entity from the mid-1960s to early 1980s.

โ€œOur Australian and New Zealand regions are emerging powerhouses in the global RE/MAX network, and the brand has ambition and the ability to lead the industry,โ€ Josh Davoren said.

โ€œThe RE/MAX brand has unsurpassed global recognition through more than 100 countries and territories, providing an unrivalled opportunity for our franchise owners and agents in Australia and New Zealand. Our task is to harness that global strength in a way that is relevant for our local businesses.

โ€œWith a brand overhaul last year and a freshly launched remax.com.au, there is a new energy around the brand and I am excited to now have an opportunity to drive that even further.

โ€œRE/MAX sets the bar high for people representing its brand, but it is the right place for real estate entrepreneurs who want a combination of independence and global franchise strength,โ€ he said.
