RE/MAX agents get in the ‘big picture’ in Vegas

More than 40 real estate names from Australia and New Zealand rubbed shoulders with another 6,000-plus real estate agents and broker owners at the 45th annual RE/MAX R4 Convention in Las Vegas this month.

โ€œThe annual R4 Convention is like no other real estate industry gathering. Just the physical numbers of people, the calibre of speakers, the quality of entertainment, and knowing that it represents a truly global real estate brand is extraordinary,โ€ said RE/MAX Australia and New Zealand Managing Director, Michael Davoren.

โ€œFor first-time delegates, it can be quite mind-blowingโ€ฆ as they simply experience the โ€˜big pictureโ€™ that is RE/MAX.

โ€œIn excess of 60 countries were represented,โ€ said Mr Davoren, โ€œMore than 60 countries, more than 6000 delegates. I wonder how many other real estate names can match those numbers for a single gathering.โ€

The global RE/MAX network has grown from one agent to more than 115,000 over the last 45 years, and currently has a presence in more than 100 countries and territories. Just this week Entrepreneur magazine named the Denver-based global real estate franchisor in its 2018 Top Fastest Growing Franchises list for the fifth consecutive year, and RE/MAX, in the 12th spot, ranked the highest of all real estate franchises on the list.

โ€œThe RE/MAX brand is in the process of a total refresh. From a new CEO Adam Contos to the modern and compelling graphics and logos of the new-look brand, RE/MAX is dynamic, growing and positioned for a bright future.

Mr Contos replaces RE/MAX co-founder, Dave Liniger, who remains to serve as non-executive Chairman of the Board.

โ€œRE/MAX not only sells more real estate around the world than any other brand, and certainly more real estate worldwide than any other Australian or New Zealand real estate name, we are also the most contemporary, energized and innovative,โ€ said Mr Davoren.

The R4 program featured network and industry updates affecting agents and consumers internationally and globally, educational sessions, special guests, international networking and referrals, and great entertainment (with Bon Jovi proving a particular crowd-pleaser).

RE/MAX Australiaโ€™s Katie Knight from Toowoomba, and Justin Miller and Cushla Symons from Robina on the Gold Coast, joined Steve Cavanagh from RE/MAX Tropical Sands in Sarasota, Florida as panelists in a key session on property management.

RE/MAX celebrated the achievements of 16 of the Australian and New Zealand delegates: Martin Hood, Roberto Scartozzi, Martin Moolman, Kahlee Townsend, Lisa Walden, Gaby McEwan, Tracey Ashley, Mark Wecker, Brendan Homan, Roxanne Workman, Richard Sumner and Tracy Corneal at special Club Awards events; and Nicole Carter, Greg Parker, Ray Murphy and Gisele George at the Best of RE/MAX Awards Celebration at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
