Ray White’s Connect 2018 puts the fun back into leadership training

Some 3000 agents and brokers will arrive on the Gold Coast for Connect 2018 in mid-August, bringing together the White family businesses of Ray White, Loan Market, Wealth Market, Home Now, Living Here, White & Partners and Concierge.

The Connect 2018 program has been developed to inspire all delegates to learn and have a lot of fun networking along the way.

Ray White holds a unique place in Australian corporate history for its family owned and led business model, and the family aims to deliver a truly memorable event to reflect their commitment in creating an environment where leadership thrives.

W Concepts director of events, Christine Gray, has been planning events for the White family businesses for more than 20 years.

“We are lucky to have some of the best people in the real estate and finance industries work with us and I know how invaluable the opportunity is for most teams to get together in an atmosphere such as this,” Ms Gray said.

“We definitely know how to throw a party here at W Concepts and all our franchisees know that no-one will want to miss out on Connect.

“We only hold Connect once every three years given the size and logistical scale of our growing group and the number of yearly events we also host for our members.

“Connect offers everyone the opportunity to step away from the daily hustle and look outside your business and learn from leaders in all fields. We should never stop learning and growing,” Ms Gray said.

One speaker who is set to have everyone on the edge of their seats is Dr Jordan Nguyen, a young man on a mission to change the world.

A truly inspirational communicator, Dr Nguyen has a magical combination of technical brilliance and the unique ability to inspire people.

Dr Jordan Nguyen is a biomedical engineer and inventor whose achievements include creating a mind-controlled wheelchair, and whose technological innovations are targeted at improving the lives of those living with physical disabilities.

In his third year of university, Jordan Nguyen dived into a swimming pool, hit the bottom and damaged the muscles in his neck. Although he did not break his spine, he began exploring the options available to quadriplegics. It was then that he decided to help develop technologies for disabilities.

Another speaker at Connect 2018 is entrepreneur Manny Stul, the Melbourne-based toy maker of Moose Toys, best known for its Shopkins and Mighty Beanz collectable plastic toys.

If you have little ones you may know these toys which take inspiration from everyday grocery and department store items.

Forbes Magazine estimated his net worth at $US1.4 billion last year.

Reflecting on his success, Mr Stul says to “think globally”.

“Do not be motivated by money alone; money should be a side benefit of doing something you love,” he said.

There are two full days of conference, packed with speakers and specialist breakout sessions covering all areas of the Ray White businesses.

The conference also includes all lunches plus an international awards gala dinner and an epic after-party to rival all that have gone before.

Tickets for Connect 2018 are available to members of the White family businesses (Ray White, Loan Market, Wealth Market, Home Now, Living Here, White & Partners and Concierge). Registration closes on July 31. For more information visit connectconference2018.com
