Raine & Horne has joined forces with local agents Mallik Real Estate to re-establish a real estate office in Cessnock, the gateway to the Hunter Valley wine region.
The Mallik family has lived and worked in Cessnock for many decades. Therese Mallik launched Mallik Real Estate in 2012 after previously working as a lawyer specialising in real property, conveyancing, probate and commercial law with Mallik Rees Lawyers, the Cessnock law firm now operating as Coutts Mallik Rees.
“I moved to real estate because I had an interest in the sector and opening a real estate business seemed like a natural extension of my interest in real estate and my conveyancing experience,” said Ms Mallik.
“My husband Rob Mallik is still practising as a planning and environmental counsel at Coutts Mallik Rees and he is also a business development member of my real estate team.”
The plan for next year is to grow throughout the area.
“The family ownership of Raine & Horne is appealing to us, as we own and operate a family business. Our plans are to grow the business next year as we expand with the help of Raine & Horne,” said Ms Mallik.
