Raine & Horne has broadened its reach in Western Australia, with a new office in the tourist hotspot of Denmark, led by principals John and Julie Hetherington.
The Announcement:
Rapidly expanding Raine & Horne is thrilled to announce the expansion of its office footprint in WA, with the opening of a new office in Denmark.
This strategic move follows the successful acquisition of an established independent firm in Denmark by experienced principals John and Julie Hetherington.
Mr and Mrs Hetherington jointly own Raine & Horne Great Southern, which operates additional offices in Albany and Kojonup.
According to Mrs Hetherington, the decision to expand Raine & Horne Great Southern into Denmark was influenced by the regional town’s booming real estate market, the proximity to the regional hub of Albany, and other real estate firms moving out of town.
“We saw a tremendous opportunity in Denmark, not only because of the market dynamics but also the chance to be deeply embedded in the community,” Mrs Hetherington said.
The expansion into Denmark brings two well-entrenched real estate professionals into the Raine & Horne Great Southern team.
Denmark local Jane Hockley, with a successful 25-year career in real estate, brings her wealth of experience in the region and a robust history of success.
Brett Lukey, a renowned figure in Denmark’s real estate landscape since 2009, is also an essential team member with more than 40 years of local sales and property management expertise.
“We are excited to welcome Jane and Brett to our team,” Mrs Hetherington said.
“Their local knowledge, extensive experience, and commitment to excellence perfectly aligns with Raine & Horne’s values.”
The newly formed team, which also includes an administrator, has hit the ground running in Denmark, achieving remarkable success in just four weeks.
The team has already facilitated the sales of four local properties, showcasing the immediate impact of their presence in the area.
These include 61 Beaufortia Gardens, Denmark, which has changed hands for $1.1 million and a quaint timber home at 16 Dunskey Place, Denmark, that sold for $500,000.
The team also sold a neat-as-a-pin 3×1 north-facing home at 1/28 Rockford Street, Denmark, for $450,000 and a three-bedroom house at 134 Minsterly Road, Ocean Beach, for $650,000.
“In particular, Brett is on fire right now” Mrs Hetherington said.
“He is listing and selling like it’s going out of fashion.”
Regarding the local real estate market, Mrs Hetherington said they were seeing many people moving there from Perth because Denmark has a vibe reminiscent of the Margaret River.
“There are lovely wineries and restaurants, and people are selling up in Perth and shifting here for a lifestyle change,” she said.
Recently acquired by Mr and Mrs Hetherington, Raine & Horne Great Southern’s Denmark office, located at Shop 3, 27 Strickland Street, is set to become a central hub for the community.
The office in Denmark not only signifies a business expansion for Mr and Mrs Hetherington but also reflects their genuine dedication to understanding the local market’s unique needs.
Mrs Hetherington said the key is that you’ve got to have someone from the community who knows what’s happening.
“We’re not just opening an office – we’re establishing a home in Denmark,” she said.
“Our team is ready to contribute to the vibrant local real estate landscape and build lasting relationships with the community.”
Mrs Hetherington also expressed her undeniable satisfaction since joining Raine & Horne, citing it as a driving force behind the couple’s current expansion endeavours.
“The brand itself is outstanding,” she said.
“The resources and tools we have, including access to social media templates, has completely streamlined our business. And the support has been great from head office.”
