Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty appoints leading Whitsundays Principal

Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty has appointed former Hamilton Island Realty Principal Wayne Singleton to head its operation in the Whitsundays.

Buoyed by a number of recent significant sales in the region, including Mandalay House, Aqua and Botanica, Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty has finalised the next location for its planned expansion throughout the state.

Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty CEO Paul Arthur said the Whitsunday region had always featured in the company’s growth plans.

“Our own Carol Carter has done an amazing job servicing the high end from our Gold Coast office, but in addition we always wanted a physical presence and that takes the right person,” Mr Arthur said.

“We believe we have that with Wayne, who brings his immense experience to the region, and specifically Hamilton Island.”

Achieving numerous significant sales in the past 12 months, including records in Airlie and Hamilton Island, the timing of the expansion could not be better.

Mr Singleton is very familiar with the beautiful tropical coast of Queensland, representing buyers and sellers of property in Hamilton Island since 2002, and in that time transacting over 650 sales of luxury properties worth more than $800 million.

He is not only a respected and successful sales professional but a popular local who has lived on the island with his family for 17 years, where he’s also personally bought and sold almost a dozen properties.

“I’m really excited to bring Sotheby’s International Realty to the Whitsundays. The global network coupled with our local expertise and knowledge and we are now able to provide a service to our clients like no other,” Mr Singleton said.
