Queensland group of LJ Hooker agencies unveil centralised operations in new Robina HQ

A group of LJ Hooker agencies have made a $2.05 million investment in the central Gold Coast market, purchasing a Robina headquarters to cater for growth in its hinterland-to-coast operation.

LJ Hooker Burleigh Heads directors David Manby and Raymond Pienaar say the move is central to their growth strategy for 2019, which aims to increase the number of sales, property management, support and marketing staff across five agencies from 70 to 90 over the coming 12 months.

The business leaders have centralised their Robina and Mudgeeraba teams under a single roof in Robina and unveiled a new fit-out, reminiscent of a contemporary home.

“Robina is one of the city’s two business hubs, but it’s also the heart of our service area,” said Mr Manby.

The new office space houses pods, break-out meeting rooms and a ‘garden’ cafe.

“The garden café is a real feature of the HQ. In addition to the customer experience, it’s also a great place for younger agents and property managers to spend time with seasoned, top-line performers, where they can learn from the best,” Mr Pienaar said.

In addition to their new headquarters, the group has welcomed LJ Hooker Mermaid Beach to its stable, with a relaunch scheduled in the coming months.

LJ Hooker Queensland Managing Director Stephen Mutton congratulated the business partners on their innovative investment.

“The central corridor from Mudgeeraba to Mermaid Beach is a dynamic market with everything from acreage to townhouse investments, town centre apartment living to Millionaire’s Row,” said Mr Mutton.

“Dave and Raymond’s team are building one of the largest teams on the Coast with the specialists to service every area of this diverse market.

“It’s a significant business decision to buy their own HQ and underpins their commitment for growth in the various markets.”
