On getting into real estate
I am a second generation real estate agent; my dad is a stock and station agent. So I guess you could say that I grew up very close to my dad doing deals on the phone.
The happiest moment in my career
When I decided not to open my own franchise, which I was days away from doing. I was presented the option of joining The Agency from day one. I now essentially run my own business under a managed brand and also have the ability to build a rent role as an asset for my future.
The most memorable moment
The most memorable property I have sold was when I was asked to represent the Governor General of Australia and his wife, Peter and Lynn Cosgrove.
Best advice heโs received
Be yourself and donโt be distracted by things in the business you canโt control.
Biggest challenge
Staying relevant and of value to the consumer.
Change for good?
Compulsory vendor-supplied pest and building inspections, and strata reports on all properties.
โEliteโ agent means
It is being a professional service provider that goes above and beyond 95 per cent of the industry and conducts themselves with clear integrity and hard work.
#WeAreRealEstate is a series of short interviews with 140 agents all over Australia exploring the industryโs hopes, concerns, future challenges, and what it really means to be an Elite Agent.
