The expansion, according to Charlie Clemons and Shaun Broadbent, the principals of McGrath South Yarra, was a significant accomplishment for the company and would give the team an opportunity to grow following the hardships of the pandemic.

McGrath South Yarra has announced plans to expand through Melbourne’s Inner East as it joins forces with Hayden Melbourne, an agency with a near 100-year legacy in Victoria.
The merged business will operate as McGrath South Yarra, managing a combined rent-roll of 1,500 properties and consolidating an expanded sales team across the Stonnington and Boroondara markets and will be managed by a team of 10.
McGrath South Yarra’s principals Charlie Clemons and Shaun Broadbent said the expansion was a major milestone for the agency and will provide the team a platform to grow after the challenges of the pandemic.
“McGrath South Yarra opened on the eve of COVID-19,” said Mr Clemons. “We navigated through the disruption, building-up a loyal base of sellers and investors in the process.
“With these challenges behind us, we are now in growth mode and strategically engaging with the wider Stonnington area. By scaling-up with a larger team of experienced sales agents and property managers who are supported by real estate’s best tech, marketing tools and training, we’re taking the McGrath offering to more sellers and investors in Melbourne’s Inner East.”
McGrath’s Head of Franchise Chris Mourd said Hayden Melbourne’s commitment to McGrath South Yarra was advantageous to the office’s vision for expansion and growth. “Hayden Melbourne has a history dating back to 1928.
