Mauricio Umansky and Kyle Richards list Aspen retreat

Luxury real estate broker Mauricio Umansky and his Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wife Kyle Richards have officially opted to offload their Aspen retreat after nearly six years of ownership.

The brokerage firm founder and his celebrity wife are asking US$9.75 million for the Colorado retreat that offers picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and Roaring Fork Valley

Richards said Aspen will never be the same now that the couple are leaving the home they bought in late 2016 for US$4.2 million

“Honestly, that is my little happy place and people don’t know that we live there part-time,” Richards told Entertainment Tonight.

“When I went back this last time, I took some sage with me. There was a Ouija board involved. Things really got out of control, let me tell you.”

According to The Dirt, the three-storey home is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac in the heart of downtown Aspen, and features four bedrooms and five bathrooms in just over 223sq m of rustic living space.

There are hardwood floors, river rock accent walls and exposed log-beam ceilings throughout, along with two decks offering stunning views — one off the living room, and another on top of the roof that also boasts a hot tub and fire-pit.

The retreat also includes a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and a dining area that connects to a gourmet kitchen outfitted with a spacious eat-in island and high-end stainless appliances.

On the upper storey, there’s a fireside master suite with French doors that open out to a private balcony, as well as a luxury bathroom with a soaking tub and dual steam showers.
