Mamma Mia! Amanda Seyfried lists Greenwich Village condo for $12 million

Mean Girls and The Dropout star Amanda Seyfried has listed her stunning Manhattan home for US$3.25 million.

Built in 1928, the upmarket condo is in highly-sought Greenwich Village and features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, along with contemporary interior living and dining spaces.

Seyfried, who also starred in the hit movies Mamma Mia! and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, bought the home in 2010 for a little over US$1.9 million according to Dirt, but no longer lives at the condo.

Instead, Seyfried, her stage and screen actor husband Thomas Sadoski and their children live in a 157sq m penthouse atop a storied Upper West Side building, which they bought about three years ago for $2.5 million.

The Greenwich Village condo comprises 148sq m of internal space and features classically elegant fittings and fixtures including oak flooring, custom cabinetry, eye-catching wallpapers and mullioned sash windows, many of which have views of brick walls and other apartments.

Highlights in the home are many, including a tranquil living room with a feature fireplace flanked by Moroccan-style filigree screens, while the kitchen and dining room is light, spacious and boasts a classic all-white colour scheme, a farmhouse-style sink and industrial lights above the island bench.

Situated on one of the lower floors in the 12-storey, Emery Roth-designed building, services include a doorman, landscaped courtyard, fitness centre, a children’s playroom, rooftop terrace and storage units.

Alec Baldwin also lives in the building in a sprawling multi-unit penthouse.

Nominated for an Oscar for her role as Marion Davies in Mank, Seyfried and Sadoski also spend time at their farm in the Catskills, which is a 1920s stone house that’s been featured in Elle Decor and Vogue Living Australia.

They also own a property in a historic Hollywood neighbourhood, which Seyfried bought for US$1.85 million in 2011.
