Laing+Simmons Parramatta’s campaign to raise money for medical research as part of its 21st birthday celebrations has got off to a flying start with over $3000 already raised in the first month alone.
The award winning real estate agency, which came of age last month, is donating $300 to Westmead Medical Research Foundation (WMRF) for every property it sells from July 1 to the end of 2016.
Since the campaign began, over 50 properties have been listed and the sales are ticking over.
“With over $3000 raised so far we’re off to a flying start in our fundraising efforts for WMRF to celebrate our office turning 21,” said Group Principal Ray Fayad.
“With five months to go we expect that this amount will increase dramatically as sales are boosted by the recent interest rate cut combined with the seasonal spring increase in property market activity.
“Buyer demand for western Sydney property remains strong and our vendors are taking their properties to market with confidence, while also helping us to do our bit for an important cause,” he said.
The money raised will go towards critical care and life-saving research and will help the thousands of patients who rely on Westmead Hospital for the best of care.
“At Laing+Simmons we believe in giving back to the community in which we live and work and we could think of no better cause to support than the vital work carried out by the team at Westmead,” said Mr Fayad.
“They make a real difference to people in need of care and their families, and we’re delighted to be able to support their work as our way of acknowledging our 21 year association with the area.”
