This year marks 50 years for Laing+Simmons, who held their annual awards night on Saturday to celebrate the group’s achievements.
Laing+Simmons Port Macquarie took the Office of the Year Award, while the North Sydney team was recognised with the Gold Award for Business Growth.
Damian King of Port Macquarie took home the Doug Laing Memorial Award, named after one of the founders of Laing+Simmons in recognition of the team member who best embodies the moral and ethical standards that were a hallmark of Doug’s career.
The Top Income Producer for the year was D’Leanne Lewis of Laing+Simmons Double Bay, with the Double Bay office taking out the Top Income Producing Office Award.
Laing+Simmons Managing Director Leanne Pilkington said the awards are important to recognise and celebrate the efforts of Laing+Simmons team members, from those just starting out in their career to those with plenty of experience.
“This year’s pool of winners covers the spectrum of talent in our ranks, from our brightest young people, those who’ve been part of our network for decades, men, women, business owners and support staff,” Ms Pilkington said.
“The winners provide a snapshot of the diversity that we celebrate at Laing+Simmons. As a group, we’re proud to be in the strong position we’re in, 50 years since we were born as a close-knit family company. Our growth plan continues to roll forward but we’ve never lost sight of the family culture that underpins our brand.
